New Start Transitional Living
The New Start Transitional Living Program (TLP) is an 18-month program geared towards helping survivors of domestic violence and their families transition from living in an emergency shelter to living more autonomously in the community.
New Start TLP offers subsidized rental assistance under graduated rental terms. During a client’s 18-month stay, clients will engage in self-empowering, goal-directed activities that lead to personal development, self determination and self sufficiency.
New Start participants receive support in the following areas:
- Case Management
- Counseling
- Education
- Job/Computer Skills
- Referral and Advocacy Services
- Family Support Services
- Housing Search and Placement
- Finances/Budgeting
