Join Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation in the quest to end Domestic Violence!
On opening day 2015, Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation pledged $100,000 to New Hope, Inc. in support of our violence prevention programs. With the pledge came a challenge: to call upon New Hope’s fan base to collectively match Mr. Kraft’s contribution.
Today we’re calling all New Hope fans to help us meet the challenge! Pledge your support for New Hope today!
What’s this all about?
Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation (NEPCF) are committed to preventing domestic and sexual violence throughout New England. To help bolster violence prevention programs throughout the region, Mr. Kraft and the NEPCF have pledged $1.5 million to area nonprofits. Of that amount, $100,000 has been specifically earmarked for New Hope’s violence prevention programs.
How will New Hope use the funds?
Over the next two years, New Hope will identify communities to embark on an intensive primary prevention program aimed at changing social norms around violence within interpersonal relationships. Our plan will utilize a community organizing modality and involve individuals, families, community groups, faith communities, and businesses; in short, our plan will affect the entire community. In this work, our definition of community will be broad and may be defined as a geographic community, an ethnic community, or a specific population (e.g. elders, disabled, LGBTQ). Our first task will be to explore communities that are open and ready to engage in this work. We will use a variety of factors when researching the communities’ readiness for the implementation of our plan. This process will begin in the near future, most likely starting in 2016.
How can I help?
