Children's Counselor – New Hope is seeking a Master's level clinician to work with children and teens for 25 hrs./week of individual and group work dealing with sexual assault and/or domestic violence issues, including those with concurrent mental health and substance abuse issues.  Counselor must be flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of clients served. Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology or other related field required, experience with SA and DV preferred. Benefits available. Director of Residential Services

Responsibilities:

•  Oversee the operations of the Central MA shelter, including scheduling, staffing, on call, and program development and implementation.

•  Facilitate weekly casework meetings and provide regular administrative and programmatic supervision to all shelter staff, interns and volunteers.

•  Assign and supervise the maintenance of all shelter programs' documentation including client data and all reports required by all funding sources.

•  Participate in the development and management of grants and state contracts to support these services, including preparation of on-going monitoring reports.

•  Work closely with other Directors, insuring consistency among services provided and teaming to meet program goals.

•  Coordinate community outreach and awareness activities, in collaboration with other Directors.

•  Represent agency at various local, regional, statewide, and coalition meetings.

•  Participate in program on-call responsibilities, including providing back up for the other shelter program, and be available to staff for assistance in handling problem situations.

Qualifications:

•  B.A. or B.S. in Human Services or related field (Master's Degree preferred)

•  Experience working in a residential setting desirable

•  Experience with sexual assault and domestic violence issues preferred

•  Supervisory experience required

•  Bilingual preferred

•  Valid driver's license

Director of Community Services

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the operations and development of programs including Community Services, SAFEPLAN Legal Advocacy, Multi-Cultural Casework, Housing Stabilization, and Civilian Advocacy (SC).

  • Provides supervision coordinators, civilian advocates, senior legal advocates and program interns.

  • Participates in the development and management of grants and state contracts to support these services, including preparation of on-going monitoring reports.

  • Works closely with other Directors, insuring consistency among services provided and teaming to meet program goals

  • Coordinates community outreach and awareness activities, in collaboration with other Directors.

  • Manages New Hope 's SANE and hospital-based medical advocacy program and participates in SANE on call.

  • Represents agency at various local, regional, statewide, and coalition meetings.

  • Assigns and supervises the maintenance of all program documentation including case files, client data and all reports required by all funding sources.

  • Participates in program on-call responsibilities, including providing back up for the other community services program, and is available to staff for assistance in handling problem situations

Qualifications:

•  B.A. or B.S. in Human Services or related field (Master's Degree strongly preferred)

•  Community outreach and education experience

•  Experience working with sexual assault and domestic violence survivors

•  Supervisory experience required

Part Time Overnight/Relief Shelter Advocate position available at New Hope Domestic violence/sexual assault agency. New Hope provides support, education, and advocacy to women and children who are fleeing domestic or sexual abuse. Some Overnight advocate's responsibilities include: providing support to residents, keeping detailed case notes, responding to the basic living needs of residents, and answering our 24 hour hotline.
