New Hope, Inc. currently has job openings for the following positions:
Community Based Counselor/Advocate to provide immediate and ongoing advocacy and counseling services to victims of domestic and sexual violence who reside in New Hope’s Southeast region. The position is full-time 35 hours/week benefit eligible. The candidate will provide the following services: counseling, crisis intervention, safety planning, case management and linkages to internal and external resources. Assess clinical needs including referrals for psychiatric, substance abuse, or other related evaluation. Work with police departments, community providers and other entities to identify and support victims. Provide medical advocacy to sexual assault victims as well as participate in on-call coverage. Qualifications include a master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work and prior experience with survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Bilingual a plus.
Overnight/Relief Advocate; New Hope Emergency Shelter
New Hope is currently seeking a qualified individual for Overnight/Relief Advocate position in our Southeast and/or Central, MA Domestic Violence Shelter. Responsibilities include providing support to residents, keeping detailed case notes, covering open shifts when available, responding to the basic living needs of residents and communicating those needs to staff, and answering a 24-hour hotline.
